Tulsa, OK ambient dream rock group Endless Forms aims to settle in the tension of creating in an already crowded world – to create a window through which to engage the world rather than escape from or dilute it. Endless Forms’ 2015 debut album Lazarus is about the difficult but possible reality of achieving peace and personal wholeness in an unfathomable and unresolving world. On their 2017 sophomore album If There Were Water, which was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by the band, Endless Forms seeks to realize a new imagination for what it means to be human, and what it means to be an artist. If There Were Water charts the experience of holy disappointment: when we lose what we feel was owed to us by life, we are left with the question of how to remain soft in a hard world, and we are challenged to remain true to our love for a world that has caused us grief.
